Jetty to Jetty/Roebuck Bay Foreshore Walk Status Business Case prepared adopted by Council. Endorsed approach is to “bookend” walk Stage 1 being implemented in Accord with Yawuru, and MOU’s with Historical Society and Notre Dame University. Requirements/Next Steps Accord for Stage 1 being negotiated Funding for Stage 2 – Town Beach Jetty and Revetment.

Old Broome Development Strategy Status Consultation Completed Recommendations include foreshore improvements, special character area, mixed use and activation. Council adopted in October /November 2014 Requirements/Next Steps Local Planning Policy to guide land use and development Concept Plan for foreshore redevelopment.

Kimberley Regional Offices Redevelopment Status Feasibility Study indicate current buildings require renovation and demand exists for redevelopment. Business Plan prepared including financial modelling and land tenure issues. Council resolved to advertise Business Plan and undertake EOI for leases Requirements/Next Steps Review submissions and EOIs for leases received to determine scope of project.

Old Broome Urban Renewal Status 2009 Housing Strategy and 2013 Local Planning Strategy and Planning Scheme 6.
