P ARENT I NFORMATION M EETING – M AY 17, 2015 F ALL / W INTER C LUB T EAM FOR 15U & 16U B ASEBALL P LAYERS 1

TC Titans Overview  Club Baseball Teams sponsored by Prior Lake Athletics for Youth  Given approval for Pilot Program in 2015/16  Objective is to provide a reasonably priced fall/winter club option for Prior Lake and neighboring community baseball players in grades 9 & 10  Expectation is to field competitive teams at 15U and 16U that are placed at the right level in national tournaments to support player development and game success  No pre-determined number of ISD 719 players but expect there to be at least 5-6 assuming there is enough interest 2

Fall Season Overview  Teams will play in the AFBL – Advanced Fall Baseball League  Sunday Doubleheaders starting in early September  Concludes with a league tournament in early October  Teams will play in the Las Vegas Tournament  Last Weekend in October  Teams will have two practices per week  Practices will begin last week of August  Tue & Thu Nights: 6pm – 8pm  Either Ponds 7, Ryan 1 or Memorial – TBD  Savage Dome last two weeks of October  Potential Pre-Season Tournament in August  If enough interest – would be small incremental cost  Driving Distance: WI Dells, Iowa, ??? 3

Winter Season Overview  Will take months of November and December off from throwing  Looking into possibility of an optional conditioning program  8 Weeks probably on Tue nights  Fall Season players also welcome to participate  Practices will begin after New Year’s (Jan 5 th )  Tue – Savage Sports Center: 5pm-7pm or 7pm-9pm  Thu – P2P Burnsville or other location: 5pm-7pm or 7pm-9pm  Optional hitting sessions will be available starting after Thanksgiving  Targeting Thu nights: P2P Burnsville or other location  Teams will play in President’s Day Weekend Tournament  Vero Beach or St George, UT  Teams will play 2 nd tournament the first weekend in March  Phoenix 4

Coaching  15U Team  Coached in Tournaments by Erik Plaisted and Mike Murray  Will hire expert coaches to work on specific skills during weekly practices  Planning to have PL High School coaches involved  16U Team  Coaching approach to be determined 5

Program Fees  Tryout Fee  $ st Monthly Payment (see below)  If not selected for a team 1 st Monthly Payment will be refunded  Season Fees  Fall & Winter Option: $2,450 ($306.25/mo for 8 months – Jul thru Feb)  Fall Only Option: $1,250 ($312.50/mo for 4 months – Jul thru Oct)  Winter Only Option: $1,550 ($310/mo for 5 months – Jul thru Nov)  Payments would begin Aug 1 for all options (Jul payment will have already been made when signing up)  Pitcher-Only Option  Some Club Teams have started to make this an offering  Would there be interest?  Fall & Winter: $1,000 ($125/mo for 8 months)  Fall Only: $500 ($125/mo for 4 months)  Winter Only: $650 ($130/mo for 5 months) 6

What’s Covered by Fees  Player Uniforms  2 Jerseys, 2 Pants (1 if Fall-only or Winter-only), Hat, Belt, Socks, Helmet, Warmup Jacket  Coach Uniforms (4 per team)  Shirt, Hat, Warmup Jacket  Tournament Entry Fees  P2P Fall/Winter Membership Program  Pitcher-Only Option not included  Team Equipment  Facility Rental  Savage Sports Center, P2P Burnsville (or similar batting cage facility)  Coach Stipends – Practice Coaches  Erik Plaisted & Mike Murray are not being paid 7

What’s Not Covered by Fees  Transportation to/from Tournaments  Lodging at Tournament Locations  Food at Tournament Locations  We have budgeted to have 1 Team Each Out-of-Town Tournament 8

Tryouts  Date: Friday, June 12th 10AM – 2PM  Location: Ponds 7  Will be looking to select players that will create the best team  Players will be asked to identify their two best positions during tryout registration 9

Playing Time / Player Development Philosophy  Want to give each player the best possible chance to develop and prepare himself for his high school season  Development will be the focus of the practices  Execution and Fun will be the focus of the games  Game Statistics will be collected and shared with players and families throughout each season  Intended to be used to measure progress towards achieving developmental goals  “Open Door” Policy  We will all be paying a lot of money so everyone is entitled to have input 10
