QlikView in the Enterprise BI Stack

Sample Architecture – Metadata Integration This architecture shows the use of a custom metadata database as a data source and target for QlikView. Additional metadata on the consumption of business elements and data lineage within the QlikView layer is written to QlikView QVDs (for QlikView consumption) and then exported out to be loaded back into the custom metadata repository.

Sample Architecture – ETL Integration This architecture shows the use of a customized BI Monitor database that acts as the integration point for Source, ETL and BI layers to communicate status and timing for scheduled delivery and processing. This example utilized SQL Server as the repository for these layers, but any data source could have been used to provide the same functionality.
