Cost Analysis Chargeback FECA Program is financed by the Employees’ Compensation Fund Cost derives from previous year injury claims, death claims, temporarily disable, or daily rolls, permanent disable or period rolls. Cost of compensation for work related injuries are charged annually at the end of fiscal accounting period July to June OWCP furnishes each agency with a statement of payments made to the fund. OWCP provides a listing of the cases and charges on the yearly chargeback bill

Cost Analysis State Assessment 2014  Cost analysis reflect increase from last year chargeback by $ 40, from previous year chargeback cost. 1 Temporary disability claim reported on long term rolls recipient is being worked with DOL vocational rehabilitation.

Challenged Claims Injuries must be initially investigated by supervisor! If claimant case is questionable supervisors must report facts. We can challenge claims when filing the electronic CA-1 or CA-2 and provide supporting documentation A safety investigation can either validate or challenge injury claim There were three claims challenged from CY 2014!

Challenged Claims Cont. Of the three challenged claims all were further reviewed by the Department of Labor. One claim did net benefits, agency challenged the validity of the claim process is being appealed by the employee to the Department of Labor. The other two claims are still pending appeal by the injured employees with DOL.
