*However, Chinese folk music is not only played by abovementioned instruments. In fact, brilliant Chinese composers have also produced plenty of masterpieces for accordion and piano.

*a piano Suite. Also a drama. *Mainly about a kind-hearted mermaid and a hunter defeated the demons in the mountains, got married and lived happily ever after.

ZHANG Jingping and REN Shirong, The Song of the Plum BLossom (Capriccio) *an accordion solo *adapted from a famous music piece in the opera, Sister Jiang (Jiang Jie) *Jiang Jie is a heroine who led the Communists in prison to fight for the freedom of the nation.

*However, why is the piece named The Song of the Plum BLossom? *Because in China, this kind of flower symbolizes strength and persistence. Jiang Jie surely has these characters.

WANG Shusheng, Nonjiya Fantasy *an accordion solo *About a legend. A beautiful but poor girl named Nonjiya was forced to leave her homeland, eastern Mongolia, to western Mongolia because of her miserable marriage. The fantasy vividly describes her strong homesickness and memories of her childhood in eastern Mongolia.
