Plot – The basic sequence of events in a story or text What is the plot of this story? James not being happy and wanting to find somewhere happy to live.

Exposition – An introduction that provides details about characters and setting What do you think the exposition of this story is? All the background information, James’ parents dying, going to live with his aunts.

Rising Action – A series of events that build interest and or suspense. What is the rising action in this story? The journey while on the peach and all the problems that they faced.

Climax – Where the coflict or problem reaches it’s peak What is the climax of this story? When the peach reaches land and they are safe.

Resolution – A conclusion to the story that reveals a solution to the conflict. What is the resolution in this story? James’ heroic adventure is celebrated, he's not treated like a child and he realizes with his friends at his side, he’ll never be lonely again.
