FEELING GUIDE – AN ELECTRONIC TOOL FOR IMPROVING EMPLOYEE WELLBEING

The Rural Support Service is responsible for implementation of a unified state and European Union (EU) support policy in the sector of agriculture, forestry, fisheries and rural development. -was established on 1 January operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture -The number of personnel – Rural Support Service

2014 has been named as «The Year of Well - Being» in the RSS, thus giving attention to the evaluation and prevention of psychoemotional work environment risk factors. 3 The Year of Well - Being

In order to find out the opinion of its employees and identify the problems, the RSS has carried out survey on the psychoemotional work environment and discussions with employees. It was determined that most of the RSS employees acknowledged that the work they have to carry out is stressful, complicated, time – consuming and requires a lot of responsibility. At the same time the employees rate their work as interesting. 4 The Year of Well – Being activities (1)

In order to realise «The Year of Well – Being», the RSS carried out a stress management campaign. RSS organized stress management trainings, which were separated – two day training for managers and one day training for the rest of the employees. 5 The Year of Well – Being activities (2)

In order for the training to be more efficient and the employees to be able to use certain techniques for stress resistance improvement and positive thinking in an interesting and interactive way on a daily basis, an idea was developed about an easily accessible application that provides important information in an interesting way and is attractive enough so that even the most sceptical of employees would want to try it and use it repeatedly. 6 The Year of Well – Being activities (3)

The employees can find summary form all last years trainings in new interactive visual form. Give visually appealing advice on how to make the day better, not only for oneself, but also for a colleague. Available from all types of mobile devices with Internet access. Available in two languages – Latvian and English. Available to anyone who wants to improve their well-being. 8 WEB based application «Feeling Guide»

9408 users More than page views One in four of the visits are from a person who has already used the application.
