Strong Work Ethic  A belief in the moral benefit and importance of work.

Communications Activity  Everyone find a partner!  Say the following phrases in different tones to show how using a different tone of voice can change the meaning of your words.  “Your hair looks nice today.”  “Are you the manager?”  “Ringo is the best Beatle.”  “Let’s find the paper shredder.”

Self Confidence Activity  Located around the room are different shapes.  Take a look at the shapes and choose to stand next to the shape you feel best represents you.

Criticism Activity  Everyone divides into pairs. You will a couple sheets of paper and a pencil.  I will read a quote and you decide whether the quote is praise, criticism or feedback.  After I read each statement I will give you a few seconds to collectively decide what you believe it is. Once you have decided, hold your answer in the air. Then we will discuss the most popular answer among the class.
