Our Mission  The UOIT Science Council has a vision to enrich the minds, experiences, and fellowship of the students belonging to the UOIT Faculty of Science through innovative social, professional, and academic activities.  We host various events and activities in hopes of enriching the university experience of UOIT students.  Advocating the rights of all students within the Faculty of Science

Events Over the Years

Science Council Clothing - For an extra $5 you can get your name on the sleeve

Charities We Support  Operation Christmas Child  World Vision  Last year the Science Council took initiative to sponsor a child from World Vision  This is Kevin Vallejos Montenegro, he is a 7 year old boy and lives in the KOARI community in Bolivia  Through our fundraising events we hope to continue supporting him and his family.  Heart & Stroke Foundation  Date Night Auction held in February  Raised just under $500  Movember  Each November we bring to you bake sales and facial hair growing competitions in order to fundraise for prostate cancer.

How to Get Involved  Become an executive: We currently have two positions available for execs (Social Media Coordinator and VP Marketing). These positions require the most dedication out of the 3 options. If you would like to become an exec, you will need to submit and application to us and attend a voting. The voting will only be open to those who are applying for the position and the execs.  Join a committee: You can join the Communications committee or the Social committee. These require less dedication than the exec positions, however, they are just as important. In a committee, you work with a designated exec member and come up with ways in which you can promote certain events and the Science Council.  General Volunteer: This is the least demanding of all options. You can volunteer for any event you want.

Connect with the Science Council!  Website:  “Like Us” on  Facebook: UOIT Science Council   Instagram: uoit_scicouncil
