Dry- Land Environments Desert Grassland Forest Rainforest The four dry-land environments are the desert, grassland, rainforest, and forest. Which dry-land environment do we live in? Science 3.6

Dry-Land Environment Plants Animals Desert Grasslands Rain Forests Cactus Ocotillo Rattlesnakes Camel Grasslands Grass Wildflowers Elephant Zebra Rain Forests Bamboo Kapok trees Boa Constrictor Toucan Forests Pine trees Oak trees Deer Rabbit This table helps us organize the information we will be working with today. These are our four dry-land environments. In the desert, we will find cactus and ocotillo plants. We will also find animals like camels and rattlesnakes. Rain Forest Plants Animals Science 3.6 You will find thousands of different types of (CLICK) plants and animals in a rain forest. Here is the Kapok tree (CLICK) . These are bamboo trees(CLICK) . The rain forest will have boa constrictors (CLICK) , toucans(CLICK) , and many more animals. Science 3.6

Forest Plants Animals Science 3.6 We live in a forest. We can see pine trees like these and oak trees like these outside our class window. Have any of you seen one of these animals around your house? Of course, we have hundreds of deer in our area. How about this animal? Yes, many rabbits run wild in the county as well. Science 3.6

How well have you been listening How well have you been listening? Which dry-land environment would you find a Kapok tree? Now, let’s see how well you have been listening. Here is a short quiz for you all. Which dry-land environment would you find a Kapok tree? (listen for responses) (CLICK) CORRECT a Rainforest!! The Rainforest Science 3.6
