Aerial Events Tactical Demonstrations (TACDEMOs) Will participate at separate venues than Blue Angels F/A-18C Hornet, F/A-18F Super Hornet Naval Air Station, Lemoore CA (VFA-122) Naval Air Station, Oceana VA (VFA-106) Flyovers – Navy is permitted 40 total Flyovers Non-maneuvering Separate from TACDEMO request Not normally an air show event 4 aircraft max (2 aircraft max) Static Displays (10 civilian airshows) Other Aerial Support; i.e., Parachute Demo, SAR Demo

DD FORM 2535 Select what category of support a sponsor is looking for Event Sponsor & POC must be affiliated with sponsoring org. NOT USN or Mil personnel. Ensure forms are complete and accurate address must be legible Phone numbers must be accurate Section II - Event and Site Information Event site certification must be signed by the “ owner ” of the property

DD FORM 2535 Charges and fees Please list all charges (admission, parking, etc.) DOD takes a hard look at monies raised and where it goes (we research sites) Event CAN NOT support fundraisers for a specific charity or organization Funds must be disseminated through broadly based charities

Blue Angels and TACDEMO’s Air shows requesting the Blue Angels must have a completed 2535 submitted by 1 August TWO YEARS prior. Thunderbird / Blue Angel de-conflict Repeat shows Location, distance and logistical concerns F/A-18 Tactical Demonstration (TACDEMO) schedule Submit 2535 by 31 December CNAF will publish approved schedule FEB / MAR Estimated 50 – 60 events FY15 – 20 Civilian Airshows Try to counter-balance with USAF Thunderbirds

Legacy Flights  Civilian pilots flying WWII vintage Navy tail-hook aircraft  Legacy flight consists of civilian warbird lead with Navy F/A-18's on wing  Typically follows TACDEMO, 8 – 12 minutes total

Leap Frogs Available to support 27 airshows Civilian 2535 requests need to be submitted NLT 1 December the year prior Some open dates will be filled throughout the year Find a sponsor to offset costs

Sequestration & Beyond 2013 Sequestration goes into effect Grounds all Military Aerial Support April 1, through end of FY DoD Community Outreach Planning DoD approves Blue Angels to carry out season schedule DoD approves Leap Frogs to carry out season schedule All other requests for support must be approved through an exception to policy waiver request, by DoD 2015 DoD Guidance … (Next Slide)
