 Seek parenting resources.  Ex: Parent Tool Kit(Ontario Directors of Education, online version available)  Look through the WCI planner. Have them explain and record their long and short range plans for school work.  Pay attention to homework: help them learn problem solving and understand their thinking with probing questions.  Keep them healthy, good food and sleep are essential.  Pay attention to their stress level. Listen to them and involve others if safety is a concern.  Communicate with their teachers. GENERAL TIPS TO HELP YOUR CHILD ADJUST TO HIGH SCHOOL
