Project: Developing Solutions DQ: What factors prevent “normal” development? Timeline: 4-5 weeks Overview: You’ll work in teams to identify a group that struggles with healthy development in a specific area. You’ll design and make a product that helps them develop properly (collaborate with Design class, Ms Jones)

Examples of developmental areas: Biological development – unhealthy, slow growth, infertile, malnutrition, Language development – not on target with speech, writing Cognitive development – slow learner, negative thinking, not practical Social development – few friends, can’t relate to people, problematic romantic patterns, lonely Moral development – can’t tell right from wrong, crime-prone Identity development – no sense of purpose, low self worth, bored with life
