Poverty Sub-Sahara Africa is the poorest part of the world for several reasons Lack of Development before colonization Colonization which resulted in: – export economies in which wealth flows out of the country – resources and the best land were given to just a few who were usually European Corruption: After independence corrupt political leaders took control of resources and became rich leaving the population poor.
