Cargo Gear survey INITIAL SURVEY BEFORE BEING TAKEN INTO USE FOR THE FIRST TIME : To be certified by a competent person To be tested & thoroughly examined Loose gear to be tested & thoroughly examined A rigging plan to be provided (ILO 152)

Cargo Gear survey PERIODIC EXAMINATION & RE-TESTING (ILO 32) A thorough examination every 12 months Re-tested & thoroughly examined after substantial alteration or repair Quadrennial survey conducted every 4 years NB: No new item of loose gear is to be made of wrought iron.

Cargo Gear survey THOROUGH EXAMINATION: Means a detailed visual examination by a competent person supplemented, if necessary, by other suitable means or measures in order to arrive at a reliable conclusion as to the safety of the lifting appliance or loose gear examined.
