LGNSW – MAV Age Friendly Communities October Review found: Almost all councils (97%) are planning for Inclusive and Accessible Communities. Most councils engage people with disability and include strategies relevant to people with disability in their planning documents. Differences in planning are associated with geographic location, regional variability in resources, demographics and community lifestyle.

LGNSW – MAV Age Friendly Communities October North Coast Ageing Strategy Released June 2014 Aim to identify population ageing issues “Work with local councils, community organisations and other stakeholders to develop a ‘North Coast Ageing Strategy’ that caters for the region’s expected increase in older residents over the next 25 years”.
