AGBell – ENGT by Andrew G. Bell (260) Module 2 Global Perspective – Energy

AGBell – ENGT Engineering Concepts in Technology Energy – We all live on this planet and energy is probably one of the hottest topics of debate we face today. Regardless of whether you believe in global warming or not we are faced with many global problems related to energy use and production. As cultures develop the need for more energy grows, with more energy produced there are more greenhouse gasses produced. Engineers are and will continue to be key stakeholders in the development of global solutions to help all of mankind …

AGBell – ENGT Engineering Concepts in Technology Team Assignment Team Assignment – Using solar panels, multimeter, protractor and a light source (could use the sun) measure the output voltage of a solar panel as the incident angle changes. The plot the results in Microsoft Excel.solar panels Individual Assignment – In the Discussion Board respond to the following posts: 1.) Do you believe in global warming? 2.) Should the United States increase natural gas or oil production? 3.) Should the United States abide by the Kyoto Accord? 4.) Should the state of Indiana and the Federal government provide larger tax breaks for consumers and businesses that use alternative energy sources? Individual Assignment – Write a short two page paper on some aspect of energy. For example, could write a paper on how Wind or hydro or PV systems work.
