Envisioning a Culture for Quality ISyE 515 Workshop Fall 2014

Workshop Objectives To increase awareness of behaviors that promote high-quality service within an organization. To introduce the concept of organizational culture. To demonstrate that teams are able to produce decisions superior to individual decisions.

Workshop Objectives To teach the interpersonal and rational skills involved in synergistic decision making. To facilitate the examination of team/group behavior. To provide constructive feedback on team behavior.

Workshop Objectives To Demonstrate Team Skills: Synergy, Listening, Communicating, Consensus Style Decision Making…. To Have an Enjoyable and Beneficial Team Experience…..

The Process We Will Read Through the “Situation” and the “Challenge” as a group. You Will Perform Step 1 Independently We Will Form Teams; then You Will Perform Step 2 With Your Team We Will Discuss and Analyze the Results

Gain (Loss) Score - Subtract Team Score (Step 7) from Average Individual Score (Step 6). (If the Team Score is higher than the Average Individual Score, the negative “-” number represents a loss.) Step 8 Step 9 Percent Change – Divide the Gain or Loss Score (Step 8) by the Average Individual Score (Step 6). Step 10 Best Individual Score – Record the lowest Individual Score on the team Step 11 Number of Members Better Than Team – Record the number of Individual Scores lower than the Team Score.
