How to Access the Web Interface of the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

The web interface will now show up on your web browser.

How to Backup the Configuration of the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the MAINTENANCE tab and then select on Backup and Restore button on the left hand side. Under the SYSTEM – BACKUP SETTINGS section, click on Backup Settings button On the File Download dialog box, click on the Save button.

On the Save As dialog box, try to locate on your computer on where you want to save the backup file and then click on the Save button Click on the Close button on the Download complete dialog box.

How to Change the LAN IP Address on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. Click on the SETUP tab and then select on LAN Setup button on the left hand side. Enter the desired IP address under the Router IP Address section. Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

Under the WIRELESS SETTINGS – WIRELESS BASIC section, click on the Wireless Basic button Under the WIRELESS NETWORK SETTINGS section, select the desired channel under the drop down menu for Wireless Channel Click on the Apply button to save the settings

How to Enable Block MAC, Allow Following PC to Access the Network on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Parental Control button on the left hand side Under the PARENTAL CONTROL – MAC FILTERING section, click on the MAC filtering button

Under the BLOCK MAC ADDRESS RULES section, select on Enable Block MAC, allow following PC to access network on the drop down menu for Configure Block MAC Address. Put a check mark on the row to enable and enter the MAC Address of the computer to allow accessing the network Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable Block MAC, Deny Following PC to Access the Network on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Parental Control button on the left hand side Under the PARENTAL CONTROL – MAC FILTERING section, click on the MAC filtering button

Under the BLOCK MAC ADDRESS RULES section, select on Enable Block MAC, deny following PC to access network on the drop down menu for Configure Block MAC Address. Put a check mark on the row to enable and enter the MAC Address of the computer to deny accessing the network Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable DMZ Host on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Firewall and DMZ button on the left hand side Under the FIREWALL AND DMZ -- DMZ section, click on the DMZ button Put a check mark on Enable DMZ. Under the DMZ Host section, configure the following; WAN Connection: Select on INTERNET DMZ Host IP Address: Enter the IP Address of the host to be access on the Internet. Click on the Apply button

How to Enable Dynamic DNS on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the MAINTENANCE tab and then select on Dynamic DNS button on the left hand side Under the DYNAMIC DNS LIST section, click on the Add button

Under the ADD DYNAMIC DNS section, configure the following; Put a check mark on Enable Dynamic DNS Server Address: Select the DDNS Server where you registered Click on the arrow button to add the server address Hostname: Enter the hostname used to register on a DDNS Server Username: Enter the username used to register on a DDNS Server Password: Enter the password used to register on a DDNS Server Verify Password or Key: Re-type the password Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable IP Filtering on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Parental Control button on the left hand side Under the PARENTAL CONTROL – IP FILTERING section, click on the IP Filtering button

Under the IP FILTERING section, Put a check mark on Enable IP Filtering Under the IP FILTERING LIST section, click on the Add button Under the IP FILTER section configure the following; IP: Enter the IP Address you want to deny to access the Network/Internet TCP/UDP: Select either Both, TCP or UDP Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable or Disable the DHCP Server on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the SETUP tab and then select on LAN Setup button on the left hand side Under the DHCP SERVER section, put a check mark on Enable DHCP Server to enable the DHCP Server function of the DCG-N5402SP or uncheck it to disable. Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable or Disable WPS on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the SETUP tab and then select on Wireless Setup button on the left hand side Under the WPS CONFIG section, Put a check mark on Enable WPS or Uncheck on it to Disable WPS. Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable Port Filtering on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Parental Control button on the left hand side Under the PARENTAL CONTROL – PORT FILTERING section, click on the Port Filtering button

Under the PORT FILTERING LIST section, click on the Add button Under the IP FILTER section configure the following; Port Range: Enter the Port you want to blacklist to access the Network/Internet TCP/UDP: Select either Both, TCP or UDP Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable Port Forwarding on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Firewall and DMZ button on the left hand side Under the FIREWALL AND DMZ – VIRTUAL SERVER section, click on the DMZ button Under the VIRTUAL SERVER section, put a check mark on Enable Virtual Server

Under the VIRTUAL SERVER LIST section, click on the Add button Under the PORT FILTERING section, configure the following; WAN Connection(s): Select INTERNET on the drop down menu WAN Port Range: Enter the port you want to allow to be access remotely TCP/UDP: Select either Both, TCP or UDP depending on the port to allow. LAN Host IP Address: Enter the IP address of the host to be access remotely Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable to Disable the Wireless on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the SETUP tab and then select on Wireless Setup button on the left hand side. Under the WIRELESS SETTINGS – WIRELESS BASIC section, click on the Wireless Basic button Under the WIRELESS NETWORK SETTINGS section, put a check mark on Enable Wireless LAN Interface to enable the wireless function of the DVG-N5402SP or uncheck on Wireless LAN Interface to disable the wireless function of the DVG-N5402SP. Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable UPnP on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Advanced Network button on the left hand side Under the ADVANCED NETWORK -- UPNP section, click on the UPnP button Under the UPNP CONFIGURATION section, put a check mark on Enable UPnP and then click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect

How to Enable URL Filtering using URL Blacklist Option on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Parental Control button on the left hand side Under the PARENTAL CONTROL – URL FILTERING section, click on the URL Filtering button

Under the URL FILTERING section, Put a check mark on Enable URL Filtering and then select the radio button on URL Black Filtering Under the URL FILTERING LIST section, click on the Add button Under the URL FILTER section, enter the URL you want to block and then click on the Apply button

How to Enable URL Filtering using URL Whitelist Option on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the ADVANCED tab and then select on Parental Control button on the left hand side Under the PARENTAL CONTROL – URL FILTERING section, click on the URL Filtering button

Under the URL FILTERING section, Put a check mark on Enable URL Filtering and then select the radio button on URL White Filtering Under the URL FILTERING LIST section, click on the Add button Under the URL FILTER section, enter the URL you want to block and then click on the Apply button

How to Enable USB File Sharing over FTP on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the MAINTENANCE tab and then select on USB File Sharing over FTP button on the left hand side. Under the USB FILE SHARING OVER FTP section, put a check mark on Enabled FTP Server Under the USER LIST MANAGEMENT section, click on the Add button

Enter a User Name and Password to access the FTP Server and then select on which permission you want the user to have whether they can View Only, Upload, Download or full access on the FTP Server. Click on the Apply button for the settings to take effect Open a browser window and type in ftp://192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard Enter the User name and the Password use to access the FTP Server and then click on the Log On button

The USB drive content will now show up on the FTP Server

How to Enable WEP Encryption on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the SETUP tab and then select on Wireless Setup button on the left hand side. Under the WIRELESS SETTINGS – WIRELESS BASIC section, click on the Wireless Security button Under the WIRELESS SECURITY MODE section, select WEP on the drop down menu for Wireless Security Mode

On the WEP section configure the following; WEP Key Length: Select 64bit or 128bit Default Tx Key: Select 1, 2, 3, or 4 WEP Key Format: Select either HEX (10 characters) or ASCII (5 characters) WEP Key1: For 64 bit keys you must enter 10 hex digits into each key box. For 128 bit keys you must enter 26 hex digits into each key box. A hex digit is either a number from 0 to 9 or a letter from A to F. You may also enter any text string into a WEP key box, in which case it will be converted into a hexadecimal key using the ASCII values of the characters. A maximum of 5 text characters can be entered for 64 bit keys, and a maximum of 13 characters for 128 bit keys. Authentication: Select Open Click on the Apply button

Click on the SETUP tab and then select on Wireless Setup button on the left hand side. Under the WIRELESS SETTINGS – WIRELESS BASIC section, click on the Wireless Security button Under the WIRELESS SECURITY MODE section, select WPA only on the drop down menu for Wireless Security Mode

On the WPA section configure the following; WPA Mode: Select WPA-Personal Pre-Shared Key: Enter a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 63 character password. Click on the Apply button

How to Enable WPA2 Only Encryption on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the SETUP tab and then select on Wireless Setup button on the left hand side. Under the WIRELESS SETTINGS – WIRELESS BASIC section, click on the Wireless Security button Under the WIRELESS SECURITY MODE section, select WPA2 only on the drop down menu for Wireless Security Mode

On the WPA section configure the following; WPA Mode: Select WPA2-Personal Pre-Shared Key: Enter a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 63 character password. Click on the Apply button

How to Enable WPAWPA2 Mixed Encryption on the DVG-N5402SP Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DVG-N5402SP which is 192.168.0.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. A login screen will appear, type in the User Name as “admin” and the Password as “password” all in lower case and then click on the Login button.

Click on the SETUP tab and then select on Wireless Setup button on the left hand side. Under the WIRELESS SETTINGS – WIRELESS BASIC section, click on the Wireless Security button Under the WIRELESS SECURITY MODE section, select WPA/WPA2 Mixed on the drop down menu for Wireless Security Mode

Back on the SYSTEM – UPDATE SETTINGS section, click on Update Setting button Please wait while the router is rebooting
