 By the late 1840s the situation had changed. The English Government, was now worried about the security of Australia, and was trying to increase the population of Australia. But in the year 1854 the battle Eureka Stockdale (a.k.a rebellion) fought on the 3 December 1854 at the Eureka Lead, located at the Ballarat Old Cemetery. The government was worried that they Russian and the French would invade the gold rush colony. Also the war between Russia and England would make Australia a Huge target. It also would cause job losses as people all around the would leave their jobs to mine for gold. One of the main problems were the Chinese's taking all the mining spots. Chinese

 The Eureka stockade started on the 12 th of August 1851, however on the 16 th of August 1851 the government made all gold miners have a gold mining licence. The licences costed £1 - £3 quid. On 23 rd October 1854 a fir started at the Eureka hotel at the time 4000 miners were having a meeting none were injured but they never had a meeting their again. At the Eureka battle field their were leaders a couple of their names were J.W. Tomas, Charles Pasley, Henry Ross and Peter Lalor. Also on the 4 th of December 1854 the newspaper article came out. The burning hotel The Canadian flag The newspaper articleBattle arena

 One of the main reasons why the gold rush changed Australia is when the gold rush first started in 1851 and since then the Chinese came and this is one of the reasons why the gold rush changed Australia. Another reason is the population after the gold rush started it increased the population of Australia and created job losses and spots to mine this ended badly for most gold miners. Some times it caused Alcohol abuse and at some point at that time the government banned any type of Alcohol near any gold mine place and anyone who drank it close to the mine.

 My opinion is that the Eureka had battle, fights and wanted their own ways this all has an impact on Australia today. Weather it’s a good or bad impact it is what changed Australia forever. In my own opinion I thing this was a good thing to happen for Australia today. Gold Mine this way
