Technical description Based on the IFMIF IIEDR a preliminary conceptual design has been prepared, including facility configuration, systems design, preliminary safety evaluation, 3D CAD,… 5 Cost estimate: ca. 400 MEuro In Dec 2014 F4E-GB invited EU member states to express potential interest to Host, by June ‘15 meeting. Construction to start in 2020

At the end of 2014 the Scientific Committee was established, with the goal to define a scientific case on top of the material testing goals.
