Held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Corner of Church Street and Miller Avenue in Oldwick, NJ, this show and sale represents the best of the region’s fine artists. Awards Best in Show $400 Best in Tewksbury $300 Marion Katnack Memorial Award $200 Landscape in Tewksbury - framing certificate 1 st ($125), 2 nd ($75), 3 rd ($25) place and Honorable Mention awards in the categories of Landscapes, Florals, Animals, Abstracts, Still Life and Buildings. Tewksbury subjects must be recognizable - specific Tewksbury scenes, buildings, sites, etc. Sales Every effort will be made to encourage sales. The Tewksbury Historical Society will retain a 30% commission on the sale of any and all juried works, Small Works and Portfolio Showcase pieces. Sales prices may not be changed after entries have been submitted. Payment to artists may take up to 30 days. All juried artwork must remain on premises for the duration of the exhibition. A Short History Established by the Historical Society in 1989 to preserve Tewksbury through artwork exclusively depicting Tewksbury Township subjects, the “Tewksbury Open” has expanded its scope while retaining its original spirit. It is now a highlight of the Hunterdon and Somerset Counties autumn season. Widely publicized and much attended, the exhibition and sale has included work by many leading artists in the area and is held in an intimate setting with most artists in attendance at the opening. Known for the quality of the work, the exhibit also includes a “Small Works” area and a “Portfolio Showcase”. Jurors ( for more information) Danielle Wexler, Selection Born into an artist family in Bruxelles, award winning professional artist Danielle Wexler lives and works in the NY/NJ area. Recent studies have been with the great painter, John P. Osborne. She has been honored both locally and nationally, having been selected for shows from the National Oil Painters of America to the Hudson Valley Art Assn. and Salamagundi Club. She is represented by several galleries in the tri-state area. She currently teaches fine art at the Ridgewood Art Institute in NJ. Anne Kullaf, Awards Anne Kullaf studied graphic design and fine art at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and at The Art Students League of NY. Her work has been exhibited at the National Arts Club, in traveling exhibitions and in Amsterdam among many venues. Anne is an elected artist and former board member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club (CLWAC); oldest professional arts organization for women in the US; recently receiving the club's Anna Hyatt Huntington Bronze Medal for painting in oils Ms. Kullaf is represented by: Michael Ingbar Gallery of NYC, JAG Modern Art, Phila., Trudy Labell Fine Art, Naples, by Bucks County Fine Art, New Hope. She lives in Califon. Eligibility of Juried Work Artists 18 years of age and older who are current residents of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. A limit of three juried entries per artists. No work may exceed an outside dimension of 40” in any direction. Artwork must be professionally framed and presented (no saw-tooth hangers, Plexiglas recommended.) Eligibility of Juried Work contd. No portraits, photography, crafts, computer work or work completely derived from published photographs is permitted. Artists are encouraged to submit work to the “Small Works” area as well as the “Portfolio Showcase”. ALL artwork must be labeled for sale. Juried Work Categories Original artwork not previously submitted to this show in the following categories: Animals Florals Abstract Still Life/Interiors Buildings Landscapes Juried work may be submitted in the following mediums ONLY: Pastel, Watercolor, Graphics, Mixed Medium, Watercolor, Oils, Acrylics. Eligibility of “Small Works” Artist MUST have submitted at least one jury piece to be eligible for the “Small Works” area of the exhibition. In addition to juried work(s), each artist may submit up to 5 pieces with outside measurements no larger than 14” x 18”, professionally framed (properly glazed; no saw-tooth hangers) and marked for sale. Artwork submitted to the “Small Works” area must be submitted in a sturdy box labeled with the artist’s name and include an artist’s resume along with a comprehensive list of the “Small Works” artwork and prices. Prices of “Small Works” may not exceed $250. “Small Works” are NOT eligible for awards. Eligibility of “Portfolio Showcase” Artists MUST have submitted at least one jury piece entered to be eligible for the “Portfolio Showcase”. Artists are encouraged to submit a portfolio. All portfolios must be held in a professional standing print rack supplied by the artist. Portfolio pieces may not exceed the outside dimensions of the portfolio; no larger than rack size. There is a limit of 15 portfolio pieces, but each piece must be professionally presented and labeled for sale. The portfolio should include an artist’s resume and biography. Portfolio pieces are NOT eligible for awards. Liability Clause Entries and artwork will be handled with all possible care. However, the Tewksbury Historical Society and the Zion Lutheran Church will NOT be responsible for any loss or damage that might occur. We advise you to insure your own artwork.
