Fish ‘n’ Chip Supper

Part 1 Fish ‘n’ chip supper makes me feel good. I’d have it every Friday night if I could. Add a little salt and vinegar too, And if you’re quick I might save some for you.

Part 2 Six o’clock and I’m hungry. Long weekend. I’m just ready for a plate of Something to share with my friends.

Fish ‘n’ chip supper makes me feel good. I’d have it every Friday night if I could. Add a little salt and vinegar too, And if you’re quick I might save some for you. Six o’clock and I’m hungry. Long weekend. I’m just ready for a plate of Something to share with my friends.

Do You Know Where Your Food Comes From?

CHORUS: Do you know where your food comes from? Have you thought of this at all? Do you know where your food comes from? It’s not easy to recall.

Some will come from local farms. This is how it used to be. But then we wanted more and more. We started looking overseas. Do you know where your food comes from? Have you thought of this at all? Do you know where your food comes from? It’s not easy to recall.

We bring in goods in from far and wide. In lorries, boats and trains and planes. To satisfy our taste in food. Some people say this has to change. Do you know where your food comes from? Have you thought of this at all? Do you know where your food comes from? It’s not easy to recall.

Half of our food still comes from home. The other half from overseas. Fresh food from lands so far away. You might know all of their names: Do you know where your food comes from? Have you thought of this at all? Do you know where your food comes from? It’s not easy to recall.

Most of our food comes from France and Spain, Holland, Germany, Ireland in the main. Don’t forget Italy, Denmark and Belgium Remembering all of these so far? then well done!

Then South Africa, Brazil, the USA Making up our products, day to day. Hundred and sixty countries making up the rest. Are you ready? I’ll put you to the test!

CHORUS: Do you know where your food comes from? Have you thought of this at all? Do you know where your food comes from? It’s not easy to recall.

A little bit of cucumber

I was raised on cucumber and on my wedding day, When the fun was over and the guests had gone away, My old darling said to me "You must be hungry Joe! Is there anything you fancy?", I says "Fancy? Don't you know?"

Chorus: I like pickled onions, I like piccalilli, Pickled cabbage is all right with a bit of cold meat on a Sunday night, I can go tomatoes, but what I do prefer Is a little bit of cucum, cucum, cucum, a little bit of cucumber.

I went flying through the air with my old college chum Suddenly he said to me, “We’re bound for kingdom come Have you any last requests before you wear a crown?” I began to shake and said, "Write this confession down”:

Chorus: I like pickled onions, I like piccalilli, Pickled cabbage is all right with a bit of cold meat on a Sunday night, I can go tomatoes, but what I do prefer Is a little bit of cucum, cucum, cucum, a little bit of cucumber.

To the Lord Mayor's banquet I got in one foggy day When I saw the grub it took my appetite away, Sparrow grass and chaffinches and pig's heads stuffed with jam I said to the waiter there, "You don't know who I am!

Chorus: I like pickled onions, I like piccalilli, Pickled cabbage is all right with a bit of cold meat on a Sunday night, I can go tomatoes, but what I do prefer Is a little bit of cucum, cucum, cucum, a little bit of cucumber.

Several years of married life have brought me lots of joys, I don’t know how many girls, I think it’s fourteen boys. When the last one came to town he fairly turned my head. He was marked with a cucumber and the first words that he said, was:

I like pickled onions, I like piccalilli, Pickled cabbage is all right with a bit of cold meat on a Sunday night, I can go tomatoes, but what I do prefer Is a little bit of cucum, cucum, cucum, a little bit of cucumber. A little bit of cucum, who come, you come, a little bit of cucumber

One Life Only

Tammy is just seven years old; she’s hungry every day. Her brother cries in the room next to her, and her mother’s heart will break. There’s never enough food on the table; never enough to go around. Now Tammy sits alone and rocks, and never makes a sound.

CHORUS We are all given one life only. And we can use it for good or for ill. We can choose to turn away our faces. I wonder if you will.

Now Tammy’s getting weaker, and thinner every day. You might think she lives in Africa, but she lives in the USA. ‘Cause poverty knows no borders: it may be right next door to you, And you can shake your head and ask, “What are we supposed to do?”

CHORUS We are all given one life only. And we can use it for good or for ill. We can choose to turn away our faces. I wonder if you will.

My Mum sends money every month to sponsor a little girl. I doesn’t seem like very much, but it’s a poor part of the world. Now they have the tools to farm the land, and the village has a well. What kind of difference we can make is sometimes hard to tell…..but

CHORUS We are all given one life only. And we can use it for good or for ill. We can choose to turn away our faces. I wonder if you will.
