Resaca Elementary Fine Arts Program rated Exemplary Fine Arts Program Resaca Elementary students participated in multiple Fine Arts activities. The cheerleaders performed in the Christmas Parade, at Sunrise Mall, and at the campus STAAR Rally. Our 2 nd grade students participated in the Bird Parade, Charro Days, Parade, Fiesta Folklorica, Baile del Sol, and Charro Day’s Kick Off. PreK – 5 th grade students performed at the STAAR Rally and in the STAAR music video. The 3 rd grade students performed Christmas songs at the Winter Heaven. Students Performed…

Resaca Elementary Wellness and Physical Education Program rated Exemplary Wellness and Physical Education Program The Resaca Elementary Running Club participated in the Autism Run, Charro Days Run, S.T.E.M. Run, Palm Boulevard Run, Cummings Middle School Run, Heart Institute Run, and the Sneakers for Students Run. Resaca Elementary Running Club

Resaca Elementary Community & Parental Involvement Program rated Recognized Community and Parental Involvement Program Resaca Elementary parents received training on strategies to help their children at home. The parents were invited to attend the Launching Literacy Event featuring authors. All students in 2 nd grade received Christmas gifts. Frozen turkeys were donated to Kinder students for Thanksgiving and the police department donated backpacks to students in need of a backpack.  Reaching out to the community

Resaca Elementary 21 st Century Workforce Development rated Exemplary College & Career Readiness Resaca Elementary invited community members to speak about their professions, such as, Dr. Sauceda, BISD Area Administrator, Firefighters, a Zoo Educator, a Kohl's Store Manager, a Rodeo Dental dentist and many more. Resaca Elementary Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Exemplary After school tutorials program Resaca Elementary 1 st through 5 th grade students attended after school tutorials Monday – Wednesday from 3:30 – 5:30 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
