Mrs. Orozco Experience- 10th year of teaching. I’ve taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th in elementary school, 6th grade Math and Science at middle school, and worked as a CRT/STEM coordinator . Education- Graduate of University of California, Irvine with a Masters in Teaching, Multiple Subject Credential and Secondary Math Credential. Expertise- TEACHING! Thinking Maps trainer, GATE certified, led Common Core trainings, Math Field Day coach, ELD, Depth & Complexity Icons, Note and Notice ----- Meeting Notes (8/28/14 16:12) ----- 4th year teaching 5th grade! Lots of experience in education Trained in EVERYTHING!

Classroom Expectations Show respect, responsibility, and integrity at all times. Follow directions the first time Well-prepared with materials for learning Participate in class Take risks and face challenges head on Complete all assignments on time and to the best of their personal ability Always working at their personal BEST. 1.Try your best 2.Setting goals and attaining them!!! 3. All in preparation for middle school 4.WELL PREPARED! Management & Techniques: Create a safe classroom environment Praise & positive reinforcement: classroom money, prizes, awards, and class celebrations Table points and a Marble Jar Consequences are appropriate to the behavior problem/incident. Homework: Weekly Newsletter & Homework sheet sent every Monday and due the following Monday Post homework daily on our classroom website- www.janaorozco.weebly.com Student Planners to manage homework time Missing or incomplete homework is noted and information will be emailed Makeup work is ALWAYS accepted Online work is a HUGE component! Homework Club is offered 2:45-3:30 Monday, Wednesday & Thursday in the classroom Homework Club starts next week! Not Tuesday we have meetings

Gifted and Talented Education Honor’s Work: Opportunities are always offered for students to further their knowledge inside the classroom. Extension projects will be used frequently. Homework Options: At the bottom of the Newsletter/ Homework sheets there is an Honor’s Credit section. It lists the honor’s challenges you can complete for each subject area.
