The North Side Gang, also known as the North Side Mob, was the dominant Irish-American Mafia organization within Chicago during the Prohibition era from the early to late 1920s It originated from the Market Street Gang. It was made up of pick pockets, sneak thieves and labor sluggers working in the 42 nd and 43 rd Wards With the star of prohibition, the north Siders quickly took control of the existing breweries and distilleries in the North Side of Chicago (real beer and high quality whiskey) The North Side Gang

The Chicago Outfit, shortened to "the Outfit" is a crime syndicate based in Chicago. Dating back to the 1910s, it is part of the United States phenomenon known as the Mafia. The Outfit bears the influence of its best-known leader, Alphonse ("Big Al," "Scarface") Capone; in fact, for decades after Capone had left the scene, The Outfit was known as "the Capone Gang" or "the Capones" to outsiders. The Outfit's Membership at a moderate estimate is between Made Members. They have a large number of associates which make up the majority of their force Since its founding, the Chicago Outfit has been operating in order to keep and expand its status and profit throughout the Chicago area among others. During the Prohibition era, its leader at that time Al Capone competed with other gangsters like George "Bugs" Moran for the bootlegging business and as well as other rivalries. The Chicago Outfit
