Accessing Career Cruising  Go to  Username: FH-Student ID# Ex: FH  Password: Birthdate Ex:

Create A New Password  Parent Portal Password Information  First initial, last initial, 6 digit birthdate Ex: js030197

Address  Enter district address First initial, last initial, last 3 of Ex:  Read through Terms & Conditions, click agree, and submit

Matchmaker Assessment  Interactive survey that matches occupations to your interests  For each question, there are 5 responses to choose from: dislike very much, dislike, does not matter, like, or like very much  Once completed, a list of 40 career suggestions will appear Occupations are ranked according to how well they suit your interests

Matchmaker Assessment Cont  Click on Assessments Click on Start Matchmaker Enter a name for your session and click Start Now to begin  Read “More Info” on the right hand side to get more detailed information about the questions  Improve My Results – after answering the 39 questions, you have the option of answering more questions – the more questions you answer, the more effective the career suggestions

Career Clusters  Groups of occupations that share common characteristics such as knowledge requirements, skill sets, and/or goals  Write down your Career Cluster Recommendations

Career Exploration  Looking at your Career Interest Rank, click on careers that look interesting & research using the tabs to the left  On the WS, rank 3 careers based on information you research  Save at least 3 plans to your site by clicking “Save to My Plan”

Sharing Your Plan  Click on My Plan  Click on Share My Plan  Invite parent/guardian to view your plan. Type in a parent’s address and hit send
