Civilian conservation corps By Jess Lemay

Creation of the CCC. The Civilian Conservation Corps also known as the CCC. Was created in the early 1930’s, and this program was created by President Roosevelt along with his other programs to help people find jobs during the depression.

CCC’s Purpose The purpose of the CCC was to employ men ages 18 to 25 who couldn’t afford college. These men would go around the country creating and maintaining national parks. Men would receive 30 dollars a month, and got to keep 5 and 25 went to their families.

Participants The main people who participated in this program were men ages 18 to 25 who couldn’t get a job or go to college so they worked for an amount of 6 months in the CCC.

Notable Creations Some creations that the CCC was involved in were creating the different national parks around the country and also making dams in certain cities.

The effect on the CCC The CCC was extremely effective in which many projects were created and the CCC was able to help with lots of different camps and also natural disasters.

CCC still in use? As you know the CCC is no longer in use, but America will always remember the great accomplishments the CCC had on our country. The CCC lasted 10 years, and now that we are finally out of the depression, America is finding knew ways to help out with our national parks.
