Tonsillectomy Prep Book For children age 2+

Welcome to Memorial Children’s Hospital!

Today, we are going to help your throat feel better! Dr. KletterNurse Flowers Child Life Specialist, Rachel

You will see things in Room #200 like this:

Lots of people will be in there to help you if you get scared! You can bring your teddy bear, too.

You may hear sounds like this…

You may feel sleepy in the room and can take a nap!

What will happen: The good guys in the back of your throat are sick from too many germs. The doctor is going to take them out to make your throat feel better.

When you wake up, your throat may feel sore.

But you will be all better!

Make sure you rest before going home..

So you can eat treats,

And go back to school!

Thank you for being a super star!
