About DesmosDesmos ● Online graphing calculator ● Fast math engine ● Includes trigonometry, calculus, and various functions ● Math equations are inserted and are automatically plotted ● Intersection points can be identified easily ● Available for student and teacher use o Desmos is an effective tool for high school students to use in courses when graphing calculators are needed.

Master the Intricacies What does it do?? A software that allows students to graph lines and solve math functions on a large, easy to manipulate screen. ● Graph functions, lines, parabolas ● Plot points of specific data ● Evaluate equations ● Create transformations ● Provides the formulas for lines ● ability to save and share graphs

Pros ●Generates correct mathematical lines, parabolas, graphs ●No advertisements or downloads necessary ●Easy to use (Large screen, easy to find points) ●Hands on, engaging for all students ●Provides tutorials for first time users ●Free for students who cannot afford graphing calculators ●Ability to be demonstrated on screen in classroom ●Allows teachers to monitor students progress through specific student/teacher pages ●Formulas provided ●Free app for iPhones, iPads, devices

Cons ●Substitutes paper and pencil graphing method ●Lowers critical thinking (does work for students) ●Technology must be accessible to use software ●Students can use for cheating ●Must provide address for creating account ●Possible glitches
