 In most countries of the world, the information revolution has altered many aspects of life significantly:  Commerce, employment, medicine, security, transportation, entertainment and so on.  Accordingly information and communication technology (ICT) has affected in both good and bad ways like community life, family life, human relationships, education, careers, freedom and democracy.  Computer and information ethics in the broadest sense of this “phrase/expression” can be understood as that branch of applied ethics which studies and analyzes such social and ethical impacts of ICT.

Computer Ethics (contd.. )  Ethics is a set of moral principles that govern the behavior of a group or individual. Therefore, computer ethics is set of moral principles that regulate the use of computers. Some common issues of computer ethics include intellectual property rights (such as copyrighted electronic content), privacy concerns, and how computers affect society.  For example, while it is easy to duplicate copyrighted electronic (or digital) content, computer ethics would suggest that it is wrong to do so without the author's approval. And while it may be possible to access someone's personal information on a computer system, computer ethics would advise that such an action is unethical.digital 8

 Computer ethics has been used to refer to a kind of professional ethics in which computer professionals apply codes of ethics and standards of good practice within their profession.  In addition others more specific names like “cyber ethics” and “Internet ethics” have been used to refer aspects of computer ethics associated with the internet.  As technology advances, computers continue to have a greater impact on society.
