School-Wide Professional Development Plan School Wide Goal Implement PLCs with fidelity to facilitate individual teacher growth in the following areas: – Establish and employ routines in conjunction with the development of instructional efficiency that will foster student supervision throughout the day during instructional time as well as in transitional time. (Domain II, Indicators f and g) – Employ a variety of teaching strategies to support a high level of student engagement. (Domain III, Indicators e and f) – Establish and maintain a teacher web page as one tool used in building a strong system of communication with all stakeholders. (Domain V, Indicators a and c)

School-Wide Professional Development Plan Recommendations: Be ready to receive and supervise students as soon as they are dismissed from morning bus duty. Help supervise students during all transition times. Actively supervise students during instructional time— never leave your classroom unattended. Use at least three student centered instructional strategies during a 90-minute instructional period. Traditional lecture, individual textbook activities, and individual completion of worksheets should be limited. Refresh web page information in a timely manner.

School-Wide Professional Development Plan Steps/Activities: Participate in professional development to acquire skills and knowledge necessary to implement recommendations. Work within your PLCs to collaborate on best practices that apply to goal, focus areas, and recommendations. Seek coaching from your administrator and/or instructional coach if you need help or clarification concerning the goal, focus areas, or recommendations. Each PLC will make a presentation during staff development to share a PLC takeaway. Staff development dates: *January 5, ALL PLC’s present.

About Niche's K-12 Rankings “We've been helping people make informed choices about their education for more than 12 years. Our rankings are different, and for good reason. We believe that the quality of a school or district should be measured, at least in part, by the parents and students who actually go there. They should also be measured by hard data and across a number of key factors so that no one factor dominates a ranking. Most importantly, they should be measured by their results. The most unique thing about our rankings is that they incorporate student outcomes. We go to great lengths to ensure that our rankings represent a comprehensive assessment of each school or district. Each Survey Score used in each ranking represents a composite score of several different survey questions pertaining to that topic. Of the dozens of statistical factors that go into each ranking, no one factor accounts for a majority of the overall weight.
