“Self-Advocacy Skill Building” is a priority for Parent Centers. To quote from OSEP’s recent application package At a minimum, the PTIs must: (a) increase parents’ capacity to help their children with disabilities improve their early learning, school- aged, and postsecondary outcomes; and (b) increase youth with disabilities’ capacity to be effective self-advocates.
