LAIKIPIA PREDATOR PROJECT The Laikipia Predator Project (LPP) is working with the KWS, Ranchers and Communities in Laikipia to develop practical measures which encourage coexistence between people, livestock and predators.
For 15 years: Restored Lions population (-100 to 250) i.e. 6-7/100sqk Recognized has number 3 rd lion strong hold in the Country.
LPP Goal To devise lion conservation strategies To protect livestock from predators To ensure that local people gain significant economic value from lions and other wildlife, to offset the cost of living with them.
