TURKU UNIVERSITY LIBRARY one of the largest academic libraries in Finland over two million items, 60 kilometres of shelves, electronic materials open-to-all academic and research library most of the services are free of charge

LIBRARY CARD you can get a library card from any of the Turku University libraries by providing your identity card and address in Finland the library card is personal & you are responsible for the loans that it is used for card can be activated to other university libraries in Turku and in Finland

LIBRARY DATABASE VOLTER library database is called VOLTER free access on the net you can renew your loans and make reservations for material already out on loan, also requests for material in closed stacks (in Main Library and some of the library units)

Location: in which library unit the book is available Loan pediod: how long you can have the book - sometimes you have to make a storage reguest or a reservation before you get the book Number of Items: how many items there are and are they available (on shelf)

COURSE BOOKS books assigned to university courses as reading material are available in Course book library, Economics library and Medical library - check the availability in Volter library database ICT course books available in ICT Library – check the availability in Alma library database (Åbo Akademi library database) several copies per title loan periods: 7 days, 14 days, short-term loans 2 days, overnight and weekend loans
