An amazing journey to the moon! Will I today be the first man to ever stand on the moon?

Will I be the first man ever to stand on the moon? Hi, my name is Neil Armstrong, I am today travelling to the moon with my crew. I am travelling on Apollo 11 rocket, I hope I will be the first human being to walk on the moon! It is nearly time for me to set off.

Time to set off! I am sitting in my upside down seat, with my seatbelt on. It is 5 seconds until takeoff, …5…4…3…2…1…TAKEOFF.

17 th July 1969 I have been in space for a long time now, my seatbelt sign has turned off so I am allowed to take my seatbelt off. I floated over to the window and see the most amazing sight I have ever seen…

We are approaching the moon We are in final approach to the greatest thing mankind has ever done. I have got hold of the American flag, ready to stick it into the moon’s gravel. I am so excited.

Stepping foot on the moon I am absolutely amazed that I have made my journey to the moon, I am the first living human or living creature to stand on the moon, these are the first words I said on the moon “ one step for man, one giant leap for mankind”.

Heading back to earth I can hardly believe my eyes, I have actually been the first man or creature ever to step on the moon. I am heading back to earth to see my family, who will be amazed with me.

Just getting back into earth We are just getting back into earth, I am so excited to see my family again. We are about 5 hours away from landing, I can’t believe that I have survived this amazing journey to the moon and America are so happy for me too.

Landing!!!!!! I am just landing, this is the best day of my life to see my family after this amazing journey to the moon! The World will be so ecstatic because nobody else except me and my crew have done this.
