NorCal Metroplex Background Began Design Phase in March 2012 Concentrated on SFO, OAK, SJC, and SMF Completed Simulator Runs, completed Human in the Loop Simulations at MITRE Adjusted procedures based on HITLs, Flight Sims, AVN, PBN, changing criteria, directives, etc. Environmental Analysis completed ~ Draft EA, public workshops, Final EA, FONSI/ROD signed 7/31/14

NorCal Metroplex Implementation Procedures divided and scheduled to be published over 4 successive charting dates beginning November 13, 2014 First charting date included 1 RNAV Optimized Profile Descent (OPD) STAR (SMF R16/34) and 6 RNAV SIDs (5 for SFO, 1 for OAK) SIDs designed to move away from dependence on ground based NAVAIDs Next Step: March 5, 2015 >> 3 SFO STARS, 2 RNAV SIDs, 2 OAK STARs, 3 SJC RNAV STARs, and 2 SJC RNAV SIDs, 1 SJC Legacy modification
