WORLD CAFE by ALDA

Objectives Specific objective General objective To brainstorm and debate on the role of social cooperatives and the effectiveness of their work Specific objective To formulate common guidelines on four specific sub-topics: how to promote youth entrepreneurship in the social field; what communication strategy better fits the needs of social cooperatives; what profiles and competencies are requested; how to liaise with LAs and local stakeholders

1. How does it work? Let’s set 4 tables in the room, with around 9/10 chairs for each table. Each table is led by a café leader, who will introduce the topic to be tackled and moderate the discussion Please take a seat around your table and start the discussion on the topic identified You have 20 minutes to discuss the topic of the table you sat at. Once the 20 minutes have passed, you shall move to another table and participate in the discussion on the topic there identified (the rule of two legs!). After 20 minutes, you move again and pick another table. Thus, you will be contributing to the discussions of each of the four topics identified.

2. How does it work? The café leaders will take notes of the debate and report it in the plenary session. This part aims at presenting suggestions, opinions and recommendations collected during the debates and at integrating them in an open discussion with a larger public

Topics for the tables Table 1: How to promote youth entrepreneurship in the social field? Table 2: What communication strategy should be developed to better fit the needs of social cooperatives? Table 3: What profiles and competencies are requested in social cooperatives? Table 4: How to liaise with LAs and local stakeholders?

Let’s get it started!
