Much of the information needed to complete the New Course template comes from the student’s prior transcript from their prior school districts or schools. Index

The information for the Course Number, State Code, CalGrant GPA, and UC/CSU Code must come from a combination of sources until updated documentation is completed. UC/CSU Approved Course Lists Cal Grant GPA Calculation Instructions Graduation Requirements and Courses Which Satisfy Requirements High School Course Codes Prior transcripts Index

This information places the course on the transcript correctly and effects how the transcript will look like. Find a correct transcript/course and make a screen copy to compare cell information. Index

SCUSD has an A,B, C, D, and F grading scale. The correct option must be selected for AP/Honors courses. Index

SCUSD does not use “ + ” or“ - ” grades. Index

The Weight is usually a “ 1 ” value. The Value is the grade that the student received. The Value is copied from the corresponding list of grade/values. Index

The Un-weighted GPA value are the points awarded to the student with no AP/Honors considerations. The GPA Max are the points awarded with AP/Honors consideration. Index

What does the Repeat Course do? Index

Leave Standard Number, Standard Name, Task/Standard Code, and Marking Period Code cells blank. Use N/A for Technology and Status. Index

The Earned credits are the actual value granted the student for this course. The Credit name is the SCUSD coding for this course that will correspond to the courses value transferred to graduation requirements reporting. Index

Make sure that you SAVE your work. Index
