CHEMICAL STORAGE CLASSIFICATION OBJECTIVE: UNDERSTAND HOW CHEMICALS ARE PROPERLY STORED IN A LABORATORY FACILITY CLASSIFY CHEMICAL EXAMPLES USING THE COLOR CODING SYSTEM LIST THE 5 COLOR CODES AND EXPLAIN THEIR MEANING

WHY DO WE HAVE A SYSTEM FOR CHEMICALS? The goal of any chemical storage classification is to prevent accidental combination. HOW DO WE STORE THEM? Always store according to the hazards class. Always store according to the hazards class. WHAT IF A CHEMICAL IS CODED YELLOW AND REACTS WITH OTHER YELLOW CODED CHEMICALS? The color code will still be followed. The color code will still be followed.
