Reminder  TA Training:  Conduct TA training  Enter Training date in Principal’s Portal  Go to Coordinator Resources PageCoordinator Resources Page  Create Practice Test schedule  Students practice logging in  TAs practice creating test sessions  Test Security:  TAs must sign CAASPP Security Affidavit  After participating in training  Monitor TA interface and testing environment  Report Impropriety, irregularity, or security breaches to the Student Testing Branch within 24 hours CAASPP 2015 General Information Session 3

Frequently Asked Questions  Can the TA assist students to log in?  TA may not log in for student but may assist  Can substitute teachers administer or proctor Smarter Balanced tests?  Yes, but must participate in training and sign an affidavit  Can student teacher administer a test?  No, student teachers may not be in a testing room unless they are employees of the District  TA was logged out in the middle of session  Use Session Number to log back in  Unable to create TOMS accounts for TA  Does the TA already have an account?  Wait 24 hours if previous account was deleted  TA cannot log into TOMS  Has the TA been designated a TOMS account?  Has TOMS account been activated?  Is TA using proper user name?  NOT LAUSD or Digital Library credentials CAASPP 2015 General Information Session 9

Frequently Asked Questions  Cannot find students in TOMS  Search using the SSID  Is this a new student? (wait two weeks)  Students unable to log into test or test is grayed out  Has the TA selected the test the student is expected to take?  Did the student finish the test?  Verify in the Completion Report  Is this a new student?  Students cannot resume test  Was the test paused by the teacher?  Did the student finish the test?  Students get stuck on a question. System does not allow students to proceed.  Use another devise  Restart computer  English learner enrolled in a U.S. school less than 12 months  Student takes the math Smarter Balanced  If student is Spanish speaker student also takes STS CAASPP 2015 General Information Session 10
