Aim: The Tuck Everlasting Project – an introduction

Do Now What are three ideas from the book that would make interesting projects?

The Project Each student will choose from among two projects. Each project MUST use evidence from the text to support your ideas. Each project must include a separate page(s) of citations from the book. This will include the chapter, page #, and text that you used for your project.

Project 1: Create one of the following “alternate” versions of the story: An “alternate ending”, where one of the characters takes a different choice than in the text (3-4 pages) A “sequel”, detailing the life of one of the characters after the book ends (or in Winnie’s case, between the end of chapter 25 and the Epilogue). Your stories must include evidence from the text in some way. Make sure your story makes sense with the book.

Project 2 Create a product proposal to market and sell the spring water that gives immortality: On a poster, include a picture of a bottle, the brand name, the slogan or picture advertisement, and a 3-4 page proposal. The proposal should include: Why immortality is necessary for you. The benefits of immortality. Why is your water better than other waters. How do you plan to manufacture the bottles and sell them to stores. What/how much do you need in order to scale (to make the business bigger) Closing statement (include the slogan for your brand)

Product Name - Slogan Optional pictures here. Picture of product in the bottle with label. Picture # 1 showing benefits of eternal life. Proposal Picture # 2 showing benefits of eternal life. 1-page magazine advertisement

Do Now Discuss with a partner: Which project would you want to do? Which project seems easiest to do? Which project seems harder to do?
