What is the Difference between SDC and Resource Hamilton High School

A Question of Placement Resource or SDC depends on percentage of time receiving services. Usually over 50% of the school day in special education = SDC Under 50 % = RSP

SDC Special Day Class All or most core classes taken in pull out classroom. Small group setting (over 50%) May be mainstreamed for Social Studies or Science Addresses state standards. Addresses functional life skills Job Skills Money Management

Resource Less than 50% in a pull out program May be totally included in general education classes with assistance from special education aides and case carriers. Emphasis on study skills
