Population and Resources  Nearly 80 million people are added to the worlds population each year  This puts major pressure on the worlds resources  Nearly 85% of the worlds resources are being consumed by 20% of the world’s population

See figure 17-1 in you textbook  What is your opinion of this photo?  Is this troublesome?  Is there a way that we could cut down on our garbage? (Japanese Crackers)
