What is the Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA)? Planning (For instruction and assessment) Instruction Assessment Commentaries Academic language Student Voice 3-5 days of instruction

Additional Information A minimum score of 35 is required for Washington State certification Aligned with the Teacher/Principal Evaluation Project, or TPEP Results used by UWB School of Educational Studies for self-assessment and feedback

Looking at Examples Read Commentary prompts and answers 1a – 1d, if time 5a-5d. What do you notice that is taught and why? What seems important to address in planning Then look at Robric 1. What evidence do you see at a level 3? What evidence do you see above a 3? If you have time, repeat for Prompt 5

Selection of Content Read the content/lesson requirements for your discipline. Brainstorm with your group possible content choices. Record ideas.
