 Prospective Trainers Information Meeting – 3 rd July 2015

Category A  At least a post-graduate degree in the subject or area  At least ten years of experience in the teaching and/or pedagogy of the subject or area  Evidence of competence /dispositions to work as a trainer and mentor  Evidence of competence in English Category B  At least a first degree in the subject or area  At least five years of experience in the teaching and/or pedagogy of the subject or area  Evidence of competence /dispositions to work as a trainer and mentor  Evidence of competence in English

 An updated CV  A pass at MQF Level 3 in English language  A motivational letter (1000 words): (i) to show understanding of the application of LOs in the teaching and learning environment (ii) a description of how to disseminate the LOs pedagogy (iii) suggestions for the implementation of LOs in schools (iv) suggestions for assessment of LOs, through ongoing and summative assessment.

 Experience in the development of syllabi, LOs and/or LAPs;  Demonstrated competence and ability in conceptualising learning in terms of LOs, and ability to evaluate or develop the LOF and LAPs;  Knowledge of the key competences framework, the learning outcomes paradigm, the NCF and other docs;  Qualifications in the subject or area;  Years of experience in the teaching and/or pedagogy of the subject or area.

Three distinct but related components:  A face-to-face training session (40 hours);  A study visit abroad - 5 working days, to observe a LOs approach in primary & secondary schools;  Online training sessions consisting of mentoring, coaching and support and participation in an online forum ( hours)

 To conduct inset courses dedicated to LOs;  To support the implementation of LOs in schools;  To evaluate the initial implementation phases.  Expected to dedicate a maximum of one day per week to the above tasks.  Primary – post of responsibility
