Kimmy Cantrell “FACES” A Georgia Artist

Georgia Artist, Kimmy Cantrell, was born and grew up here in Atlanta in the College Park area. His first experience with clay was in high school. He studied business administration at Georgia State and worked for 20 years before he started working with clay again. He is fascinated with using “asymmetry.” He now lives in South Georgia. His work has won numerous awards and exhibited at many American galleries and art events.

“I want to find beauty within flaws “I want to find beauty within flaws. Imperfections tell stories that are far more compelling than perfection. I manipulate the shape and position of eyes to express a range of emotions and the titles of my work often reflect my own life experiences.” —Kimmy Cantrell
