Church of England Primary School W aldingfield reat Church of England Primary School A warm welcome to Great Waldingfield Church of England Primary School Good Morning and thank you for coming. I hope this is the beginning of a very positive partnership where we work together to ensure your children have the best possible start to their learning journey. Of course many of your children have already had the benefit of nursery and Mrs Ponsford has already been to see them in these settings. Some of you are already familiar with the school having had older children attend the school and some of you will have attended this school yourselves! Of course we are pleased you chose our school for your children and we certainly won’t let you down.

Church of England Primary School W aldingfield reat Church of England Primary School The School Building The prospectus gives details on the building and grounds. Since I took up the post we have been planning improvements to the building and the grounds. This has taken longer than we would have liked but it is important to spend the money wisely, making sure we get value for money. The PC meeting tonight will confirm we can go ahead with our plans for the playing field.

Church of England Primary School W aldingfield reat Church of England Primary School Pupil Premium Although all your children will have FSM next year it is very important that if your child is eligible for PP you still apply as this also entitles them to extra tuition should they need it. Help with paying for school trips and some out of school clubs.

Church of England Primary School W aldingfield reat Church of England Primary School Attendance One of Suffolk’s key areas for improvement is Attendance. It is widely known that low attendance results in low attainment. Please make sure your child attends school regularly. Of course if they are unwell then they need to stay at home. The rules also change in September and parents will be fined on the first day of an unauthorised absence.
