Learners will be able to develop a learning network where they can share interview experiences, questions and possible answers. Individuals can receive feedback from professionals and peers. A program that includes eLearning and Social media will allow participants to access information and practice interviewing skills from anywhere. They will no longer be limited to the confines of the CSET campus. Career Coaches will be able to monitor activity and provide feedback remotely.
Social Cognitive Learning Theory Cognitive factors Knowledge Expectations Attitudes Behavioral factors Skills Practice Self-efficacy Environmental factors Social Norms Access in Community Influence on Others (ability to change own environment) Cognitive Factors (Personal Factors) Environmental Factors Determines human Behavior Behavioral Factors Social Cognitive Learning Theory The main learning theory used by this training plan is Bandura’s Social Cognitive Learning theory. This theory consists of three factors: Cognitive factors Knowledge Expectations Attitudes Behavioral factors Skills Practice Self-efficacy Environmental factors Social Norms Access in Community Influence on Others (ability to change own environment) Bandura’s Social Cognitive Learning Theory
Social Learning Learning situated in a common environment Observing and interaction with one another Fosters comparison and self- evaluation Views others as a “Neutral source of Information” (Clark, 2012 Through social learning individuals “update their own knowledge base” (Clark, 2012) Learning is significant to the learners needs Social Learning Social learning is different from Bandura’s Social Learning Theory. According to Clark (2012) Badura’s Social Learning Theory is more detailed explaining how we learn from others. Social learning is more about the environment is which the learning takes place and the mechanisms used to facilitate learning. Social learning is situated in a common environment. This can be in a classroom setting or in an on-line environment. By observing and interacting with one another the learner compares and engages in repeatedly self-evaluation. Learners view others as a “Neutral source information”(Clark, 2012). Through social learning individual are able “update their own knowledge base” (Clark, 2012). Social learning brings a significance to the knowledge gained because it is self-directed and based on his or her needs.
