Background Once was its own organization going back to 1852 Still associated with Royal Caledonia Curling Club (R.C.C.C.) Became a sub-committee under CQ when various Quebec provincial curling organisations merged OVCA broke away from CQ – Branch agreement 2011 Branch now breaking away from CQ to become independent organization again as CQ failed to provide support agreed to in the merger. Canadian Branch to provide International (GNCC, and Canada) and Interprovincial (CQ, OVCA and GNCC) competitions – These events will be in addition to CQ’s Club Series and will not conflict with CQ’s Club Series
